Co-Chairs Message

To all Attendees, Sponsors and Exhibitors of the
5th Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress "Sharing Our Stories"

Dear PRIDoC 2010 Colleagues:

We, the PRIDoC 2010 Organizing Committee, extend our sincere thanks all of the Attendees, Sponsors and Exhibitors of the 5th Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress – "Sharing Our Stories" in Whistler, BC, Canada! It was an excellent gathering and a chance to renew our commitment to the health of Indigenous populations in the Pacific region and to our international objectives of sharing knowledge, research, medical information, discussion, partnerships, cultural practices and friendship!

All of the past Congresses have proven to be exciting and inspirational. Cultural and knowledge exchange and the ensuing relationships are highlights of each meeting. We continue to learn, teach and inspire one another.

This was the first time that the Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada has hosted the PRIDoC gathering in our country.

Thanks to all of you for your great presentations, for generating novel clinical and research ideas, and for creating partnership opportunities. Many of us seemed to having a lot of fun!

We would like to reaffirm our special thanks to our IPAC Executive Director, Kandice Léonard and the IPAC team of Alex McComber, Nadene Coutu, Rick McDougall, Gayleen Jackman, for their enthusiastic support. We are also grateful for the support of our many sponsors.

We wish to highlight that electronic version of presentations received, as well as presentation evaluations, are available for viewing and download here.

In summary, PRIDoC 2010 was a tremendous success. We look forward to the next Congress which will be held in Australia in 2012, hosted by the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association (AIDA)!

With our best regards and wishes for an inspiring New Year!
