The Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors’ Congress Conference 2012
CONNECTEDNESS
Hosted by the Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association
3 - 7 October 2012
Alice Springs, Northern Territory, AUSTRALIA
The objects of the Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors’ Congress (PRIDoC) are to effect the highest standards of medical care including best practice, research and development by, for and with the Indigenous Peoples of the Pacific Region.
The Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors’ Congress convenes a biennial conference which brings together Indigenous medical practitioners, students, health professionals and other colleagues in a safe and positive environment to share knowledge, skills and expertise.
We believe that through these relationships we will be better able to build Indigenous capacity, promote culturally safe research and clinical practices, and contribute to improved health and well-being for peoples of the Pacific.
The PRIDoC Council and the AIDA Planning Committee have the pleasure to invite submission of abstracts for the PRIDoC 2012 Conference.
The theme for the 2012 event is CONNECTEDNESS, referring to the essential nature and central importance of culture, country and community to the health and well-being of Indigenous peoples.
